Superb quality cotton canvas trousers in a relaxed fit for any purpose.
They're tough enough for anything and will get more and more beautiful with age.
The 100% cotton fabric is midweight at 220gsm for comfort and durability, and is dyed and finished for us in Dundee, Scotland, in a factory that's been producing the highest quality cloth since the mid-1890s.
What's more these trousers are hand-built in our own Southwold workshop: Britain's most easterly atelier!
Features two front and two rear pockets and wide loops for a sturdy belt.
Buttons are corozo (sustainable nut product), made for us in the Cotswolds by England's only traditional button manufacturer, on the last purpose-made button-making machines left in the UK!
Waist band lined in Italian indigo chambray.
Please note our Walberswick Trouser is intentionally a very relaxed fit.
We've worked hard to make our sizing system as straightforward and accurate as possible, using 'flat width' sizing. It's easy to do...
We recommend that you take a favourite relaxed trouser that you know fits you the way you like, button it up and lay it flat on a table.
With a tape measure, carefully measure the width from side to side across the waist. This is the Flat Width (see chart below), and it is the most important measurement.
If your favourite trousers have a flat width of say 42cm, then choose a Medium. If it's 44.5cm then choose a large.
Bear in mind that our cotton trousers can shrink a very small amount in first washing (we recommend cold hand wash... and never more than 30 degrees).
All measurements are a guide only. These are handmade products and may have minor size variation. If you find you've ordered the wrong size, don't worry: return it to us unworn within 30 days and we will send an alternative size.
Inside leg length is the same on all sizes, because these trousers are designed to be rolled or folded. 31" may seem short compared to measurements of conventional jeans/trousers, but that's because our trousers are lower cut in the crotch.
