Really well made. Even though the twill is luxuriously thick it is soft from the first wear. I am looking forward to wearing it constantly and giving it that broken in look. I am a 38 chest and I found the S fits perfectly over a jumper. A great everyday smart / casual jacket.
Just the jacket I have been looking for. It fits perfectly and is incredibly comfortable, another gem from the Blackshore team. Thank you!
Pondered over whether to purchase or not, given the higher price compared to similar jackets from other brands, before I plunged in. Relieved that it is ‘thicker’ than other similar brands (which I also own) as stated in the original description.
Totally do-lally about the sleeve length as it is just perfect and allows me to showcase my desk diver wrist watch and also not to worry about washing hands and getting the sleeves wet all the time. Slight irritation that the navy colour is not as dark as expected but that was my own comprehension based upon the similar navy brill smock I recently ordered. Have worn the jacket three times in first two weeks and every time I was pleasantly surprised by some tiny aspect, e.g. chest pocket, the way in which the jacket buttons up, and the use of the main pockets for glasses and other odds and sods like pens, paper and post-it pads. There is a soft sensation which makes me pause every time I go into the pockets to retrieve something.
It does feel like it will get better with age and contour to my body and exude that ‘shabby-chic’ look that can’t be bought or created instantaneously, but only time makes possible.
Great expectations and only wish I had discovered such a jacket earlier in my life!
thanks very much , fits my 6'8 slightly weird frame perfectly.
What a great jacket. Fits great - really spot on. It uses a heavier fabric than other worker/engineer jackets but it is soft and supple with it so the "luxury" description in the title is appropriate. The construction is also first class and a significant step up from other similarly styled garments. I also love that the provenance of the jacket goes all the way back to the cloth it uses and the mill in Lancashire. Looking forward to wearing this hard and often and also looking forward to adding to my Blackshore wardrobe.
