A beautifully soft scarf in Geelongora: a superbly wearable 75% lambswool and 25% angora blend.

Angora yarn is even finer and softer than cashmere, and lighter too, yet it has the highest best heat retention and moisture-wicking performance of any natural fibre.

Our Geelongora yarn is Caregora certificated, guaranteeing that the angora is responsibly sourced from welfare-raised rabbits, and always clipped (never plucked) to ensure the comfort of the animals.

The scarf is knitted in a family knitwear business in Nottinghamshire which has been making beautiful knitwear for more nearly half a century.

Our unique knit pattern reflects the asymmetrical shapes and textures of the shoreline.

We're proud to be able to say that Blackshore is a premium quality, British-made menswear brand. 

Working closely with traditional manufacturers and factories in Britain, the most notable of which has been making premium quality apparel in Lancashire since 1860, we know everyone who has input into the manufacturing of our collection.

From the weavers, to the pattern cutters, to the machinists, we spend lots of time in the company of trained specialists, tweaking samples and refining our designs. The result of this is every piece in the Blackshore collection is better looking, better fitting, and of better quality. 

This is also why we can offer lifetime visible repairs on all our garments.

By manufacturing here in Britain we are also supporting the revival of an industry which just a few years ago was struggling to survive. In doing this we strive to find quality British made fabrics and fastenings for use throughout our collection. The vast majority of our fabrics are sourced from British cloth mills, and some of our fabrics are even made from British-spun yarn.

On the rare occasions when no British factory can be found to make a particular fabric to our exacting specification, we guarantee that we only ever work with ethically managed producers from other countries. When this is the case you’ll find it clearly marked on the individual product page.

We are very proud to be part of a growing Made in Britain movement, and we hope that our collection inspires you to support the British made menswear industry.

Not many clothes come with a lifetime guarantee but we’re so confident in the quality of every piece in our collection that, with help from us and care from you, we believe our clothes could last a lifetime.


What does our offer of a 'Lifetime Repair' mean for your Blackshore purchases?

It doesn’t mean that Blackshore clothes will stay looking like new forever: every piece of clothing weathers and wears each time it’s worn. However, what it does offer is the peace of mind that if, after years of frequent use, your Blackshore clothing tears, rips, or comes apart at the seams, we’ll fix it for you free of charge.

Our manufacturing team offer high quality ‘visible repairs’ for every Blackshore garment, regardless of its age, at no cost to you. Much like restoring an old building we think this adds to the character of the item and sets it apart from others sold from our collection.

Don’t worry if you can’t find your receipt, you won’t need it.

Just throw us a line via the contact page detailing what you’d like us to repair, and then send the item, along with your name and a return address, to our HQ in Southwold. We’ll fix it up and return the item back to you free of charge.

We offer free repairs on all Blackshore clothing regardless of its age.

Our repairs are limited to items that have ripped, been torn, worn through at the knee or elbow, or come apart at the seams. We can even darn or repair holes in knitwear, and restitch at the seams: but again, please remember our repairs are 'visible'. We like to think of them as badges of honour of a garment well worn.

We do not launder items sent to us for repair and as such are unable to remove stains. Unfortunately we cannot repair heat damage.

Please note that we do ask that you wash your item before you send it to us.

Please send your garment via a carrier that can provide tracking and insurance.

We will return all items free of charge to addresses within the United Kingdom. If you plan to send your item for repair from any other location please contact us for return shipping costs. This will be charged to you ‘at cost’, at the rate provided to us by our shipping service.

We want your Blackshore clothes to last as long as the harbour that inspired their design, and much like The Blackshore which has required numerous repairs throughout its lifetime, with a little help your Blackshore clothes will stand the test of time.

Sending your Blackshore items for repair does not affect your rights as a consumer. If you believe you have received a faulty garment please contact us via email

Delivery & Returns

We accept payment via all major debit cards, credit cards, and via Apple Pay, Amazon Payments, and PayPal. We do not currently accept payments via Solo, Electron, or Diners Club.


All of our UK deliveries are made using Royal Mail and include delivery to Northern Ireland & the Channel Islands.

  • Standard UK delivery – 3 working days - £5.00

All overseas deliveries are made using a fully trackable shipping service.

  • Standard service for the rest of the world - 10 to 14 working days - £15.00

Please note that shipping charges are added automatically at checkout based on your delivery address.

If your order is being shipped outside the European Union (EU), customs charges and taxes may apply that you will need to pay directly prior to delivery. Please check these requirements with the relevant authority before placing an order.


If you need to return or exchange any item within your order please do so within 30 days of the purchase date. If you would like to return an item outside of the specified 30 day returns period you must contact our customer service team in advance or the item could be automatically returned to you.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require an order number, receipt, or proof of purchase.


All products must be returned in an unused condition. This means the product and its packaging, labels and tags are undamaged and unused. We will not accept worn, damaged, altered or used goods. We reserve the right to reduce the amount of monies refunded (up to the value of the contract price) where the value of the product is diminished from your handling, which goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.


Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you when your refund has been approved.

Once approved your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied via your original method of payment. Refunds will be processed within 7 days of approval.


If you haven’t received a refund within 14 days of receiving an approval notification please check pending transactions with your bank or credit card provider.

If you’ve done this and you still have not received your refund please send details of your order number and shipping address to


To request an exchange please complete the form provided within your delivery and return it with the item(s) you would like to receive in an alternative colour or size.


If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received by us, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If you received a Blackshore product as a gift and would like to exchange for an alternative size or style, we would be happy to do this as long as the item is in an unused condition. Please contact with further details regarding your request.


Please be aware that return shipping costs are not covered by Blackshore and proof of posting by a trackable service may be required if the item is not delivered back to Blackshore HQ.

Depending on where you live, the time taken to receive and exchange your items may vary.


During our sampling and pre-production period in Winter/Spring 2018 we are offering site visitors the opportunity to pre-order from the Blackshore collection.

Pre-orders made using the discount code LAUNCH at the checkout will receive a 25% discount off the list price of the item(s). The standard shipping charges will apply and are not discounted.

These pre-orders will be delivered in Summer/Autumn 2018 as they become available. Any pre-order can be cancelled at any time for a full no-quibble refund. 

In the event of the company being unable to deliver the exact item ordered, product(s) of equivalent value will be offered, and if these are not acceptable to the customer a full no-quibble refund will be made.

Statutory rights are not affected.
